Do you think it's possible to be good looking in real life, but completely average or even ugly in photos? As well as good looking in pictures but average in real life?

Tinder is a living breath example of such a thing. So people's features enhance their pictures because of their influence on the shadows and such leading to a better/worse pictures.
You have to remember that you are taking 2d pics of 3d objects. In other words, many meaning could be lost through translation.
