This app kinda sucks

If I’m being honest this app is full of people that get butthurt over other peoples ratings or get butthurt over people saying they think someone is a 6 and then someone saying it’s higher or just the app being inconsistent as there is not actually key to what a 5 or a 6 is compared to a 9 or 10 something like truerateme on Reddit is way more consistent and makes more sense and has more honest ratings so if I’m being honest this app is last resort if your trying to get ratings and you should probably use truerateme or rateme on Reddit for accurate ratings (also manly man your like 55 get off this app, I’m saying that because your weird and literally are just in the comments saying “your hot,I don’t understand these 6 or 5s”). Also there’s just not enough people on this site.

We're in the process of demoting the ratethispic anyways. We're tired of the constant drama and moderation requirements that come along with it, it's not something that we care too much about, we'll likely stop showing it on the frontpage within a few days, maybe even later today. p.s. btw, if you're saying people are butthurt when they vote on your posts because of your last post, your last post got low ratings because you used legit bad pictures and it wasn't someone trying to get back at you...

Tbh, we're *really* tired of having to moderate it. We want to build interesting features like the rest of our tools and focus on that, not spend countless hours moderating people repeatedly breaking rules, attacking each other or talking shit, etc. We'll probably leave it in it's own corner as is, just not show it on the homepage. Still debating.

The site existed way before ratethispic and something like 90% of our users come for the face shape tool and the other tools we have up there, so the site won't die, but we do like ratethispic which is why we put the effort into all the bias calculations. If you guys want to keep it as is, we'll give it one more chance! Our rules aren't even difficult: - don't post nudity/profanity, - don't be mean to each other, - don't create a ton of drama, - don't repeatedly break the rules. It's simple, we don't have time for this otherwise.

Is it fine if we use profanity so long as it's not used aggresively? Like you previously used the word "shit" so if you guys can say it, we should to. Also is it fine for us to get into debates with people if it's done respectively or civilly?

So some profane words can be used without bad meaning and that's fine, but keep in mind it'll get stuck in the profane filter nonetheless so your comments won't show up until approved (our own comment above got stuck on it) which creates more work for us as we have to manually approve them (we've been doing so transparently so you probably didn't even notice it). Debates are fine as long it's constructive/respectful/civil. The goal is to help improve each other, not trash the other person.
